It was my 5th birthday when I got my best friend, Dakota. He was a Ty Beanie Babie Husky. We were inseparable!

I took him everywhere with me. Literally everywhere. If you knew me as a kid, you knew Dakota too.

I remember vividly one time I left him at my Nonna’s house and would not go to bed until I had him back. Of course, it was a stormy night too so my poor father went back out to get him for me. (Thanks dad♥️)

The joy and safety I felt with him as a kid was so real. Sometimes I still hug him on bad days, and I get those positive feelings back.

My goal for starting Soul Mates Plush is to provide a friend for kids who need it. In their bad days but even their good. I want them to be able to have a friend like Dakota.

Recently being into crystals, I remember looking at Dakota thinking “I wonder what it would be like storing crystals in you.”

I didn’t have it in me to cut him open and potentially ruin him, so I did some brainstorming. And that’s when Soul Mates Plush became a thought that eventually turned into what it is now.

Dakota has been through it all with me and I’m so grateful I still have him!
